Principal's Message

Welcome to H. M. Pearson Elementary School, home of the Pearson Pandas! 

As principal at H. M. Pearson Elementary, I am looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year and am filled with high hopes as we strive to learn and grow together and reach our full potential!   I am excited our students will develop a love of learning while at H. M. Pearson, become lifelong learners, and have positive attitudes!  I hope you are excited, as well! 

This is my third year as your principal.  I began my career in elementary education with a BS in Education from Carson-Newman University. In 1992, I earned my Master’s Degree in supervision and administration from George Mason University.  This year will mark my 49th year in elementary education.  It has been a very rewarding career at schools throughout Prince William and Fauquier County. I consider every year as a new and special experience to work with our young students who represent the future. I enjoy spending as much time as possible in the classrooms and seeing the creativity, enthusiasm, and interactive learning. 

This year, join me in welcoming our newest Panda, Danielle Stauber, as our new assistant principal.  We are very excited to have Ms. Stauber join the administrative staff and are confident she will be a valuable asset to H. M. Pearson as she shares in our vision that the relationships between teachers, administrators, and families are vital to the success of our students.  I know her door will always be open and she will be visible in the classrooms and throughout the building getting to know your children and building partnerships with each of you! 

Our vision, “We Learn to Make a Difference” encompasses equipping our students with knowledge so they will have the desire to question, create, learn from their mistakes, and discover what excites them. Additionally, building upon character traits such as showing kindness and respect and helping others makes a huge difference. At Pearson, we are committed to providing a positive learning environment while building
 and enhancing relationships. We want to inspire our H. M. Pearson students to enjoy their educational journey and recognize and achieve their potential in a safe, caring, and respectful environment. 

The administration, faculty, and staff join me in anticipating an outstanding year at H. M. Pearson!
